“What type of wood do you use?”

We work with selected Mahogany purchased from an affiliate of the FSC, a non-profit organization that manages responsible management of forests world-wide. Mahogany is the prime leading material in hardwood it is strong, pliable, durable, termite resistant, and it is a beauty to admire. That is why you will receive nothing but fine beauty from Impact Precious Wood Inc. we only manufacture in precious Mahogany. We manufacture Mahogany Entry Doors, Mahogany Interior Doors, and Garages.

“Am interested in learning more about your products, and possibly view some of your previous work, is there a showroom which I could visit?”

“What do you mean when you offer Impact-Resistant or Miami-Dade Approved doors what is it that they could really withstand?”

Exterior Entry or Main Front Doors manufactured by Impact Precious Wood Inc. are mahogany doors that have undergone extreme impact tests such as the large and small missile impact test, hurricane simulated wind test, water resistance test, and forced entry test. These tests when approved are referred to as NOA (Notice of Acceptance) and are offered by Miami-Dade to approve a product to conform to the building code. Several other states allow and approve the use of the Miami-Dade NOA to apply to their building codes.

“I am quite interested in your Mahogany Exterior Doors… How do I get a quote?”

“I’d like a custom design for my door, is this possible?”

Yes, Impact Precious Wood Inc. encourages all clients to design the Mahogany entry-way of their dreams. We will work hand by hand with you to make the best of your design. Once our draft is approved by you, your dream begins production.

“Where do you manufacture?”

Impact Precious Wood Inc. manufactures all of their products directly from their factory located in Bogotá, Colombia.

“I am capable of painting the door myself. Is it possible to order my door unfinished?”

Yes, in Impact Precious Wood Inc. We are glad to provide our customers the freedom to paint and finish their Front Door, Interior Doors, French Doors or simply Shutters. We may provide you with additional procedures and tips for an attractive finish.

“What type of joints do you use in your Miami-Dade County Impact Resistant Doors?”

Our impact resistant door joints at top and intermediate connections are attached together with mortise & tenon joints and a metal plate both are individually enforced with wood screws. If you’d like to see the diagram pleases refer to page 13 of our NOA document.

“How long will you take to manufacture and have my mahogany doors and windows ready for delivery?”

We will have your doors and windows in the U.S.A. ready to deliver anywhere nation-wide in 8 to 10 weeks.

“What will happen in the event my products are damaged during delivery?”

With our safe and secure crating construction, damage during delivery is highly unusual. In the event this actually occurs Impact Precious Wood Inc. guarantees that your mahogany entry doors and windows are restored or replaced to new and original condition at no cost to the customer.

“The Doors and Windows of my house are exposed to sunlight for the most part of the day. Is this going to affect the finish or maybe the door itself?”

For maximum protection we utilize the exterior finish called Sikkens. Sikkens is designed for these outdoor applications, this finish penetrates to the core of mahogany doors and windows and preserves its integrity and elements and to protect from UV rays from the sun. The stain product that we use is called Sikkens, which is a product designed for exterior wood windows and doors. It is a soft product, which penetrates the wood to preserve it from the elements including the UV rays of the sun.

“Regarding the security of your doors and windows? Is it easy for an intruder to break-in?”

Absolutely not, our solid mahogany exterior doors are 2 ¾ “ thick. Mahogany is also the leader in hardwood, which will make it impossible for a burglar to penetrate the wood surface. Regarding the locks there is more than enough security; all our doors include a Multi-point lock, a three point locking mechanism on Top, Bottom, and Intermediate areas of exterior doors. Not only do multi-point locks fasten your door more solidly in place, they also keep the door from warping or settling unevenly-so when properly installed, a door with multi-point locks can keep out both burglars and their equipment; it also prevents damage to the door and the frame.

“Are my doors covered by your warranty?”

Most likely, it depends majorly on the door magnitude, finish, and installation proceedings. Please view our industry standard limited warranty.
